Star International, supplier to the marine and offshore industries worldwide, has made a donation of marine safety equipment.
The Wirral-based firm has supplied three life buoys, together with associated storage racking and floating lines.
The equipment will help visitors to safely enjoy the site’s three lakes, where service users can experience nature first-hand, enjoy outdoor activities and learn about the abundance of wildlife that make Westlake their home.
Paul Antley, Operations Director at Star International said: “The team at Star International is pleased to be able to support Westlake CiC with this donation of marine safety equipment.
“We first learned about Westlake’s work when they approached us to purchase life buoys were happy to donate what they needed free of charge.
“On visiting the site, it was obvious to see that the team is working very hard to offer opportunities to children with autism and we’ll be keeping in contact with the charity to see if we can assist them further in the future.”
David Haycocks, co-owner of Westlake said: “We are extremely grateful to Star International for this donation. Their support is a real lifeline for us and their generosity will open up great new opportunities for the people we are working with.”
