Eurogold generosity helps us take massive step forward

Westlake has moved a big step closer to opening after receiving “colossal” support from the Eurogold Group.

The Huyton-based civil engineering and groundworks specialists donated heavy-plant machinery and two members of staff for more than six weeks to help prepare the site for the next stage of development.

Using diggers, track dumpers and rollers, Eurogold distributed 4000 tonnes of top soil built up paths and a car park area and carried out essential drainage works.

Westlake co-owner David Haycocks said: “We are overwhelmed by Eurogold’s generosity, the support they have shown and the work they have done for us is colossal.

“The enthusiasm of their staff, their expertise and attention to health and safety has been hugely impressive and welcome. They have brought the date of us being able to open forward significantly, it is huge what they have done.”

Eurogold’s Contracts Director Steve Mercer said: “Eurogold is an extremely fast-growing company but we have our roots in the communities we serve and so we were delighted to be able to collaborate on such a community-focused project.

“Building an equine therapy centre in Cheshire will bring huge benefits to local people, especially those with autism or other special needs and it gives us a great sense of pride to have been able to help move things forward.”
